Split Level railing dilemma

split level remodel 3New owners of a charming Fairhope split level wanted to replace the dated painted iron railing around the stairs, but weren't sure how they wanted to do this. Since they have one toddler, and another child on the way, security and safety were primary concerns. In talking with the wife, we discovered her passion for books, so we suggested a long bookshelf with a gate at the stair top.

The bookcase was constructed in 3 sections of solid oak and oak ply, and assembled on site. The stain was MinWax Red Chestnut (232) and satin polyurethane finish. The carpet will be replaced with laminate in an upcoming remodel.

Granger Construction loves working 'out of the box” and brainstorming with clients, all to ensure them of the home of their dreams.
